Being that my project for this year will involve looking into illustration methods as well as animation, my blog is distinctly lacking in any of my illustration inspirations! So I'll start with pokedstudio, a site I was introduced to last summer.

I really love the generous use of colour and the character designs in the illustrations. The composition always seems to work so well despite having so much detail with lost going on in each image.

I particularly like the 3D work as I feel it is more original that a lot of the 2D stuff and I would really love to animate some of the guys like this ^ as I haven't seen much done in terms of animation in this style. Whether that's something I can incorporate into my honours year I'm not sure, as I was planning on keeping my focus on 2D animation for now, but it's definitely something I want to experiment with in the future.
