This is the question we were asked to think about this week so with some quick brainstorming, these are some of the ideas I could come up with:
- Look at different sources to find similar work to your ideas, look at what is already being done
- Gather images/videos for reference/inspiration
- Keep a sketchbook, creating images from observation and imagination
- Experiment with different designs and styles in different mediums, e.g. traditional sketch, colour, digital art
- Create animation tests to explore movement and technique
- Keep notes of any new ideas to keep for reference and explore how they can improve on current thinking
These are just a few methods, some of them more specific to my subject of animation.
