Froglegs adaptation

I found this blog post which talks about Paramount's 1962 animated adaptation of John Stanley's "Froglegs" comic, a "valuable how-not-to lesson" in turning comics to cartoons. Just by reading the comic and watching the animation you can see how much more energy the still images hold even when compared to the moving characters which seem to lack life, in that there is no thinking or acting and the pacing is poor. This is just one example that highlights how much has to go into adapting still images to animation, it's not just about getting the pictures looking the same!
